The bottom line is CHOMP/Montage finds itself in this position primarily because of greed, patient safety and questionable employment practices. The intimidation and bullying tactics used against employees like myself, who dare to report their concerns, has ruined lives and altered many livelihoods. With several “Whistleblower” lawsuits currently being litigated, one stands out above the rest…”Stiver vs CHOMP/Montage.” This holds personal significance because I had a front row seat and watched as it unfolded. As lie after lie was told, perpetuated by Deb Sober, Greg Smorzewski (shown above) and then CFO Matt Morgan, the 12 person jury delivered a unanimous verdict against Montage and labeled its administration as, “Malicious, Fraudulent and Oppressive.” They continue to make a mockery of the legal system by filing appeal after appeal, even after they received a resounded “thumping” at the hands of lead attorney, Mark A. O’Connor.

Their plan, as always, is to drag out the proceedings as long as possible in hopes of creating “plaintiff fatigue.” The bargaining process of the Union is met with the same ploy, to delay a contract for the first year in order to trigger another vote. Little do they realize that the momentum is still in our favor, with a recent tally of nearly 90% of our nurses in favor of the Union. That of which we need now more than ever. Have some of that!!
